WHO WE ARE

We are a large family. As a boy I fell in love with Austria and skiing. On my first school trip at the age of 11, I cried when it was time to get on the bus and come home! I started dry slope Racing at an early age and then went on to become a ski instructor so I could get out into the mountains. My children and I are also keen freestyle snowboarders, which is ideal as the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier has a brilliant freestyle park with one of the best half pipes in Europe. My wife is not as keen on skiing as myself and the children, but she loves the sun. So the summers in our Austrian Chalet are perfect, since temperatures can be in the late 30's. We all love Austria for many reasons. The people are great and of course the breath taking majestic scenes. The food and the beer are up there on the appreciation list. We hope you enjoy your stay at our Austrian chalets.

THE SLOPES

We bought the Austrian chalets because the village of Piesendorf in our minds, has it all. The Quiet location is close to some of the best skiing in the Alps. Zell am See, Kaprun and the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier- guaranteed skiing even if the alps are having a bad winter for snow at 3000m. Kitzbuehl/Mittersil lifts- 30mins, Bad Gatstein- 40 mins, Salbach- 30 mins, Maria Alm (3 valleys- 30mims) , Weissee Glacier - 20 mins. Plus many other small resorts close by.

We sometimes visit the Hintertux glacier in August to snowboard or ski, this is really great; this is about 1hr 30 mins away. The Kitzsteinhorn Glacier is open till the end of July usually. Great time to ski and snowboard as uaslly is it very quite after the racers have left at 12 noon.
